About this event
For those with some prior knowledge of basic botanical watercolour techniques, we will once again explore watercolour mixing and colour matching, seeing tones and understanding colour saturation, and the use of watercolour application techniques such as dry-brush and lifting. Techniques will be demonstrated and practised in class by working from living plant material including leaves, flowers and fruits. We will also visit the Shirley Sherwood Gallery of Botanical Art to study the broad range of watercolour techniques and approaches on display.

Working on plant material in class, students will have time to work on building up layers and detail to a finished standard.
