Boost your physical and mental health with the centuries-old Chinese martial art, tai chi.

Tai chi is a moderate exercise comprising a series of flowing movements.

During the session, learn standing meditation, joint loosening exercise and two traditional tai chi movement routines to strengthen your mind and body.

Take time for yourself with a unique chance to learn or progress a skill in a beautiful and quiet outdoor setting at Kew. 

Beginners course

A six week course designed to provide an introduction to tai chi. With weekly sessions, participants will be taught the flowing sequence of the Yang style - 8 step, standing meditation, and joint loosening exercises. 

Intermediate course

A six week course designed to delve deeper into the practice of tai chi.

We understand that some guests will not be able to access the event without the assistance of an Essential Companion. We are pleased to be able to offer an Essential Companion ticket for those guests who require additional assistance to enjoy all that we have to offer.

This ticket is provided with the understanding that the essential companion is willing and able to assist the access customer throughout their entire stay at the event. Essential companions must arrive and leave the event with the qualifying visitor and must be able to perform all requirements as needed, including assistance during an evacuation or other emergency.
People attending on an essential companion ticket must be attending with a qualifying visitor who has a valid event ticket already purchased and should be over the age of 18 unless otherwise agreed with the Access Team.
When you arrive you will be asked to produce documentation to validate yourcarer ticket. Accepted documentation here. You will need to agree to bring at least one of the above in order to have your ticket validated.
